ABOUT KIPAWA

Kipawa is a small Scottish-based charity working with children and families living in poverty in Ruiru in Kenya. They provide more than 150,000 meals every year in two schools, meaning parents are more likely to send their children for an education. And children who are well-fed are happier, healthier and more ready to learn. It costs Kipawa just £30 to feed a child for a whole school year!

Kipawa also provides more intensive support to some of the most vulnerable children in these communities. They provide emergency assistance like food, shelter or medical care to families in crisis. Then they work with the parents - often single mothers - to get stable employment or establish their own small businesses leading to longer-term stability for the whole family.

Some friends of mine set the charity up and my wife, Clare is a trustee. I’ve been out to Kenya twice to see the difference the money makes first hand and it is really humbling to see how even a small amount can go a long way.

Thanks for any support you can give, it is massively appreciated!

All the best,

David
