THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS - MAY 2023
I am delighted to be able to offer this trip to the north of Scotland in May 2023. It's one of my very favourite parts of the country and we will be seeing the area in real style.
Some people come to Scotland on multiple trips without ever making it to the The Highlands. They are missing out on some of the most authentic and enjoyable golf in the land.
The itinerary I have put together includes all the wonderful courses the area has to offer - the well-known and those which visitors usually pass by. All will provide wonderful memories.
Royal Dornoch is the real star - if the course was in a more accessible area I have no doubt it would be a regular Open host, it really is that good. Castle Stuart and Nairn have both hosted the very best events in the world. But beyond that we will discover Brora, Fortrose & Rosemarkie, Tain and Golspie. They may not have the fame of the big stars but the golf at them all is simply delightful, and the welcome warm.
We will not waste the trip up from Edinburgh airport either! We will play two wonderful courses on the way north, Boat of Garten and the King's Course at Gleneagles, two of Scotland's finest inland courses.
Many Scottish itineraries involve a lot of travelling around, but for this trip we we be based largely in the fabulous Ness Walk hotel in Inverness. It's very handy for all all of our Highland Golf and in the heart of the city too.
The trip will be a good balance of playing golf and discovering the area. We will arrange group dinners for some evenings as well as a whisky distillery trip.
